While it may look like the same portable game of our childhoods it’s definitely had some cosmetics done. For example the larger size. Meaning that it still fits in your pocket but you might have to live in fear of breaking it every time you bend your legs. However you can understand the technical side to the size. The new touch screen feature means that a smaller screen might obstruct our view while we're playing and there needs to be space for the buttons, which is one of the only things that's still reassure us that it's a games device and not a phone.
And the touch screen isn’t the only thing that’s new we also see the touchpad on the back which unlike the front screen can only be used for gaming. The screen being powered by a ARM Cortex A9 processor allows for HD quality movies and the gaming graphics are phenomenal. However on the downside there isn’t the greatest amount of game selection but the ones they do have are exceptional for example Uncharted: Golden Abyss which has received many positive reviews. IGN 8.5/10, Metacritic 4/5, Trusted Reviews 8/10
So what do we think about the new game on the block. Well the graphics top its rival, the Nintendo 3DS and most likely tops the graphics on any other mobile devise. But this does result in only 5 hours of gameplay. And they have brilliant games nonetheless it couldn’t hurt to have more choices. And being portable is a definite pro but the size does stop you from carrying it in your pocket.
Overall we think that this is a definite gadget to purchase.
